MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Shoplifting — Dustin Thompson, born 1981, 2211 Long Greek Rd., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Ivie J. Gill, born 1990, 2211 Long Creek Rd., Meridian.

    • DUI — Virginia M. Hale, 30, 2111 Pleasant Ridge Rd., Chunky.

    • Simple assault — Brandon Small, born 1985, 2015 27th Ave., Meridian.

    • Failure to appear in justice court — Charles E. Brooks, 54, 2702 11th St., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence — Brandon E. Small, 28, 2015 27th Ave., Meridian.

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.  

    Commercial Burglary

    • At 2:46 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a commercial burglary in the 1300 block of 20th Avenue. Entry was gained through a door.

    Auto Burglary

    • At 8:04 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 100 block of Highway 11 and 80. Entry was gained through a door.

    • At 8:44 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 100 block of Highway 11 and 80. Entry was gained through a door.

    Residential Burglary

    • At 1:27 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a burglary in the 5300 block of Manning Street. Entry was gained through a door.

    • At 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a burglary in the 4800 block of Pacific Street. Entry was gained through a door.

    • At 4:01 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a burglary in the 3500 block of 12th Street. Entry was gained through a door.  

    

Lauderdale County Sheriff's      Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Probation violation — Timothy Hathorn, 43, 36 Mill Pond Dr., Hattiesburg.

    • Intimidating a witness — Eddie R. Ruttley, 24, 626 21st St., Meridian.

    • Sale of marijuana — Roosevelt Wilson Jr., 23, 5507 Grants Fair Rd., Flowood.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    Burglary

    • 5800 block Omitted Rd., Meridian.

    • 1400 block Schamberville Ln., Meridian.

    Vandalism

    • 3500 block Hwy. 11/80, Meridian.

    Stolen vehicle

    • 300 block Jeffery Acres Rd., Meridian.

    • 900 block Northeast Industrial Park, Meridian.
