Law Enforcement Reports: 12-05-13

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Resisting arrest – Attarian JaQuon Curtis, 24, 302 59th Ave., Meridian. Curtis also faces charges for driving without headlights and driving with a suspended license.

    • Vagrancy – Jimmy Lee Davis, 40, 4506 Valley St., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence-Simple assault – Jamarcos Houston, 21, 602 39th Ave., Meridian.

    • Burglary-Dwelling house (two counts) – Robert Allen Morgan, 31, 321 C St., Meridian. Morgan also faces charges for grand larceny.

    • Telephone harassment (two counts) – Eric LaShon (LaShawn, Shawn) Prince, 37, 2127 3th Ave., 711, Meridian.

    • Simple assault – Jerry L. Williamson Jr., 44, 145 Highway 11/80, Room 146, Meridian. Williamson also faces charges for larceny, less than trespass (joy riding) and disorderly conduct/failure to obey law enforcement officer.


    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents Tuesday and Wednesday:

Strong arm robbery

    • 4100 block of 10th Street

Stolen vehicles

    • 400 block of 47th Avenue.

Auto burglaries

    • 4300 block of Highway 39 North.

    • 4500 block of Highway 39 North.

    • 1100 block of Bonita Lakes Circle.

Residential burglaries

    • 5400 block of Manning Street.

    • 5500 block of Manning Street.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's      Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Simple assault – Marvin Birdtail, 53, 4011 John A. Reed Road, Meridian.    • Sale of controlled substance, two counts – Ronald Glenn Brassfield, 53, 15904 18th Ave., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Antwan DeShawn Edmonds, 28, 1121 Moore Road, Porterville.

    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI) – Shanna R. McCullouch, 39, 513 B Church Ave., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence-Simple Assault – Franklin Edward Null, 47, 6083 Zero Road, Meridian.

    Incident Reports

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday:


    Intoxicated driver

    • 105 South Frontage Road, Meridian

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs for Tuesday:  

    • Vehicle accident, 45th Avenue

    • Natural vegetation fire, Hooper Street

    • Vehicle accident, Highway 19 North

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 44 emergency runs Wednesday at 5 p.m.
