Law Enforcement Reports: 4-19-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • Forgery — Marneisha J. Horn, 18, 107 36th Ave., Meridian.

    • Possession of controlled substance — Darious Williams, 21, 2923 11th St., Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct — De'Andre Walker, 19, 2714 State Blvd., Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct — Jenette Windham, 42, 3834 42nd St., Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct — Vivian McElelland, 28, 4301 Terry St., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.  

    Robbery

    • At 9:08 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a strong arm robbery in the 1000 block of Bonita Lakes Circle. Officers arrived in two minutes and determined that an unknown black man took the victim’s purse by force. No one was injured and the case is still under investigation.

    Shootings

    Officers responded to five shots fired calls. When officers arrived on scene they were unable to locate any evidence to the support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • DUI — James E. Burton, 48, 711 Murphy Road, Meridian.

    • Burglary — Nehesha T. Collins, 26, 2647 St. Luke St., Meridian.

    • Failure to pay child support — Justin R. House, 31, 3699 Louise Dr., Lauderdale.

    • Domestic violence — Maurice J. McGowan, 32, 2603 24th Ave., Meridian.

    • Contemp-child support — Gene D. Milstead, 3, 8106 Old Hwy. 494, Collinsville.

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    Burglary

    • 9000 block Acker Dr., Lauderdale.

    Theft

    • 11200 block Martin Moore Road, Collinsville.

    DUI

    • Will Wright Road, Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

Lauderdale County Circuit Court

    The following dispositions were handed down in the circuit court of Lauderdale County the week of April 14- 17.
