Law Enforcement Reports: 4-5-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • Burglary — Jacoby M. Dixon, 20, 616 33rd Ave., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Jeffery R. Mannix, 53, 2704 Valley Road, Meridian.

    • Possession of controlled substance — Cody B. Warner, 26, 9351 Hillview Drive, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Grando M. Lena, 46, 2704 Valley Road, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Kenyatta L. Cole, 21, 1801 24th St., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Erica D. Kilgore, 21, 1801 24th St., Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Karios L. Baylor, 35, 3518 35th St., Meridian.

    • Petty larceny — Michelle Ivy, 43, 2806 Chandler St., Meridian.

    • Possession of a controlled substance — Travis L. Crider, 25, 83708 Cook Road, Meridian.

    • Giving false information — Brandon Sanders, 24, 2222 29th Ave., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.  

    Commercial Burglary

    • At 5:08 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a commercial burglary in the 400 block of Highway 11 and 80.

    Auto Burglary

    • At 11:11 a.m. Wednesday, a victim came into the police department to report an auto burglary that occurred in the 3500 block of Highway 39.

    Residential Burglary

    • At 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a burglary in the 3800 block of Poplar Springs Drive.

    Shootings

    Police responded to one shots fired called. Officers in the area heard two shots fired but they were unable to locate the source.

      The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday

    • Disorderly conduct — Richard M. Broadhead, 61, 10415 Rabbit Road, Lauderdale.

    • Burglary — Cleveland A. Burks, 34, 4806 Manning St., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence — Clifton E. Burnham, 51, 5520 North Hills St., Meridian.

    • Public drunk — Elaine Naylor, 43, 2900 Atwood Road, Meridian.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    Assault

    • 2600 block Hwy. 496, Meridian.

    Burglary

    • 2600 block Bolen Long Creek Road, Meridian.

    • 10200 block Lynn Ln., Meridian.

    Stolen vehicle

    • 5600 block Hwy. 11 S., Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.
