MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Possession of marijuana — Derrick L. Hartfield, 18, 5033 Deborah St., Ocean Springs.

    • Armed robbery — Douglas M. Wilson, 28, 2923 Davis St., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    Stolen Vehicle

    Meridian Police are investigating one stolen vehicle case that was reported on Wednesday but the vehicle has since been recovered. This is an ongoing investigation.

    Auto Burglary        

    Meridian Police are investigating two auto burglaries. These are ongoing investigations.        

    Residential Burglary

    Meridian Police are investigating two residential burglaries.   

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department

       The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Failure to appear in justice court — Melton W. Boutwell, 42, 5429 Causeyville Rd., Meridian.

    • DUI — Stephen R. Funches, 30, 9891 Morgan Rd., Meridian.

    • Burglary — Tyler W. Jackson, 19, 5531 Gene Carr Rd., Meridian.

    • Probation violation — Kevin R. King, 31, 514 Old Country Club Rd., Marion.

    • Felony bad check — Chester Patrick, 41, 10281 CR 610, Philadelphia.

    • Receiving stolen property — Answel K. Smith, 21, 5717 Valley Rd., Meridian.

    • Obtaining controlled substance by fraud — Krystal D. Wolverton, 27, 194 Woodland Dr., Stonewall.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    Disturbance

    • 4300 block Leroy Naylor Rd., Lauderdale.

    Burglary

    • 300 block Briarwood Rd., Meridian.

    Theft

    • 7000 block Hwy. 145 S. Meridian.

    Suspicious vehicle

    • 9800 block Morgan Rd., Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Domestic violence — Pedro D. Johnigan, 35, 7455 Lizelia Rd., Marion.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.  

    • Grass fire, 5th St.

    • Electrical wiring/equip, 5th St.

    • Grass fire, South Frontage Rd.                  

    The volunteer fire departments reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • EMS, Knox Rd. (Toomsuba)

    • Traffic accident, Dale Dr. (Marion)

    • Brush fire, Hwy. 19 S. (Vimville)

    • Assist other agency, Causeyville Rd. (Long Creek)

    • Vehicle fire, Causeyville Rd. (Long Creek)

    

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 35 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday.
