MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    • DUI — Celester L. Smith, 29, 2015 Mosby Rd., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Brittany McCoy, born 1991, Old Hwy. 80 W., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Penetra Darden, born 1990, Louisville.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    Residential Burglary

    • 2200 block of 25th Ave.

    • 5100 block of Westgate Dr.

    • 4400 block of 26th St.

    Commercial Burglary

    • 2600 block of 14th Street S.

    Auto Burglary                                

    • 2500 block of 29th Ave.

    • 6100 block of Oakland Heights St.

    • 500 block of 64th Ave.

    • 700 block of 53rd Ave.

    Stolen Vehicle

    • 1700 block of 19 north, daytime, key left in vehicle, recovered.

    Monday, Meridian Police Department authorities arrested 30-year-old Amy N. Norton of Meridian and charged her with embezzlement. Her bond was set at $10,000.

    Also Monday, Meridian Police Department authorities arrested 31-year-old Elizabeth A. Manns of Meridian and charged her with eight counts of forgery/uttering. Her bond was set at $120,000.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department    

       

     The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    • Simple assault — Wendal Comans, 35, 4179 Bailey Acres, Meridian.

    • Public drunk — James C. Griffith, 26, 5122 Windsor Rd., Meridian.

    • Contraband in jail — Eddie D. Roberson, 29, 2704 Valley Rd., Meridian.

    • DUI — Detonzeon D. Stringfellow, 23, 3704 Paulding St., Meridian.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    Burglary

    • 400 block Harper Rd., Meridian.

    Theft

    • 6700 block South Anderson Rd., Meridian.

    DUI

    • 29th Ave., Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.     

    • Vehicle fire, 20th St.

    • HazMat investigation, 4th St.     

    The volunteer fire departments reported no emergency runs between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Ambulance Runs

    

    Metro Ambulance reported 33 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Tuesday
