    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Simple assault — James Jim, 55, 519 B St., Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Germaine A. Sims, 33, 4301 Highland Park Drive, Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the the following incidents between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • 6200 block Oakland Heights Street

    • 1300 block 47th Avenue

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Failure to appear in justice court — Jerry D. Carney Jr., 47, 1136 Aycock Road, Meridian.

    • Failure to pay child support — Bobby M. Gordon, 59, 3102 11th St., Meridian.

    • Neglect or exploitation of vulnerable adult — Tiffany P. Williams, 36, 2534 Old Marion Road, Meridian.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    Theft

    • 8200 block Sycamore Creek Drive, Meridian.

    Burglary

    • 5100 block Zero Road, Meridian.
