MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    • Burglary — Michael P. Peden, 22, 624 44th Ave., Meridian.

    • Possession of controlled substance — Gary P. Stancil, 47, 8111 Kings Road, Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana — Alvin T. Ricks, born 1991, 14th Avenue, Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Billy R. Walker, born 1964, 63rd Place, Meridian.

    • Trespassing — Jeffrey Mannix, born 1960, 29th Street, Meridian.

    • DUI — Robert E. Willis, born 1948, 14th Avenue, Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the the following incidents between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    Burglary

    • 2500 block 44th Avenue

    • 700 block 7th Street

    • 3900 block 26th Street

    • 1900 block Highway 39 N.

    Auto burglary

    • 5000 block 22nd Street

    

      Monday night Meridian Police Department's DART Unit arrested 22-year-old Joseph A. Griffin of Meridian on outstanding felony warrants. Griffin has been charged with seven counts of forgery and two counts of identity theft. Bond on each charge was set at $10,000.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    • DUI — Paula M. Brown, 41, 6712 Old 8th Street Road, Meridian.

    • Possession of cocaine — Joseph W. Greene, 43, 467 Yorkville Road, Columbus.

    • Trespassing — Gerrard A. Wells, 19, 1719 Highway 19 N., Meridian.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    Theft

    • 2300 block Old Wire Road, Meridian.

    • 2000 block Highway 45 N., Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.  

    • EMS call, South Street

    • Vehicle accident, 29th Avenue

    • Vehicle accident, 40th Avenue

    • Authorized controlled burning, Harper Road

    • Vehicle accident, 14th Avenue

    • False alarm, Wile Road   

    

    The volunteer fire departments reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    • EMS, Russell Topton Road (Russell)

    • Traffic accident, Collinsville Road (Collinsville)

    • Fire alarm, Stonebriar Road (Long Creek, Clarkdale)

    • Traffic accident, Highway 45 N. / Sam Lackey Road (Marion)

    

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 33 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Tuesday.
