MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Shoplifting — Sarah Hawkins, 38, 804 Edwards Rd., Forrest.

    • DUI — Antonio R. Hayes, 19, 2033 26th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Shawn D. Mosley, 45, 4802 48th Ave., Meridian.

    • Grand larceny — Sabrina Scarbrough, 25, 1312 35th Ave., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence — Derrick R. Walker, 34, 23-5 Mountain View Dr., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    Residential Burglary

    • 4400 block of 27th St.

    Auto Burglary                                

    • 1300 block of 61st Ct.

    • 2200 block of Front St.

    Stolen Vehicle

    • 2300 block of 19 N.

     Tuesday Meridian Police Department officers arrested 28-year-old Shawn R. McQuaig and charged him with felon in possession of a weapon. This stems from a disturbance call officers responded to on Monday night. McQuaig is also wanted on a probation violation charge out of Georgia. Bond was set at $250,000.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • DUI — Eric O. Morales, 26, 828 North 6th St., Thayer, MO.

    • Domestic violence — Leathel Naylor, 44, 4302 Leroy Naylor Rd., Lauderdale.

    • Public drunk — Bridgette D. Walters, 28, 4882 Point Wanita Lake Rd., Chunky.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    Theft

    • 3300 block South Industrial Park Dr., Meridian.

    DUI

    • Hwy. 39 S., Meridian.

    • 22nd Ave. / 6th St., Meridian.

    

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Vehicle accident, Hwy. 19 S.         

    

    The volunteer fire departments reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Traffic accident, Hwy. 19 S. (Vimville, Causeyville, Southeast, Whynot)

    • Structure fire, Fox Ln. (Vimville, Causeyville, Whynot, Southeast, Long Creek)

    • Vehicle fire, Collinsville Rd. (Collinsville)

    • EMS, Long Creek Rd. (Vimville, Whynot)

    • Assist other agency, Hwy. 494 (Suqualena)

    • EMS, Lauderdale Toomsuba Rd. (Toomsuba)

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 31 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 3 p.m. Wednesday.
