MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    • Felon in possession of firearm — Carlanda M. Martin, 28, 1291 Sandflat Loop Road, Meridian.

    • Public drunk — Angela Williams, 41, homeless, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Eddie D. Willis, 54, 3820 Smith St., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    Residential Burglary

    • 5100 block of Arthur Street

    • 200 block of Joe McWilliams Road

    • 3000 block of 40th Street

    • 1700 block of 18th Avenue

    • 900 block of Bonita Drive

    • 3800 block of Highland Park Drive

    Commercial Burglary

    • 1100 block of B Street

    • 200 block of Highway 19 N.

    Monday, Meridian Police Department authorities charged 23-year-old Joseph C. Allen of Pottstown, Pa. with fugitive from justice. Allen was taken into custody at a local store when patrol officers responded to a suspicious persons call. The original charge was burglary.  

    

Lauderdale County Sheriff's      Department

   

     The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    • Possession of marijuana — Jordell L. Griffin, 28, 10302 Highway 39 N., Daleville.

    • Possession of hydrocodone — Don C. Hamlett, 39, 3906 Thomas Road, Huntsville, Ala.

    • Burglary — Jason D. Hatcher, 32, 12229 Hand Road, Collinsville.

    • Embezzlement — Ivory G. Holder, 43, 4905 Shumate Road, Meridian.

    • Receiving stolen property — Joshua R. McCory, 23, 8214 Headstart Road, Meridian.

    • Welfare fraud — Renita L. Rush, 30, 4111 59th Place, Meridian.

    • Felony malicious mischief — James R. Stuart, 41, 9899 Whipoorwill Road, Meridian.

    • Christopher E. Vines, 29, 316 Branch Estates Road, Meridian.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    Burglary

    • 4400 block Sonya Rainey Drive, Meridian.

    Theft

    • 300 block Springhill Road, Meridian.

    • 4900 block Otis Shirley Road, Meridian.

    

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.
