Law Enforcement Reports: 3-28-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Shoplifting — Quayshawn Bell, 23, 2032 26th Ave., Meridian.

    • Public drunk — Jonathan T. Howington, 30, 1110 Laurels End Cove, Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct — Mitchell D. Moncrease, 40, 1509 45th Ave., Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana — Timothy Litchfield, 32, 10153 Morgan Road, Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.  

    Commercial Burglary

    • At 8:34 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a commercial burglary in the 3300 block of 8th Street.

    Stolen Vehicles

    • At 3:42 p.m. Tuesday, a victim came to the police department to report a stolen vehicle that was taken from the 1800 block of South frontage Road.

    Auto Burglary

    • At 6:24 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 2800 block of 7th Street.

    • At 4:03 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 1700 block of 2nd Street South.

    Residential Burglary

    • At 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a burglary in the 1100 block of 30th Avenue.

    • At 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a burglary that occurred in the 3800 block of 40th Street.

    • At 1:33 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a burglary in the 3900 block of 40th Street.

    • At 3:51 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a burglary that occurred in the 1400 50th Avenue.

    Shootings

    Meridian Police responded to 10 calls of shots fired over the last two days. Officers found no evidence the shootings took place and the callers did not want to speak with an officer.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

      The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday

    • DUI — Sheilah D. Chaney, 35, 339 CR 2424, Enterprise.

    • Failure to pay justice court — Garland J. Murray Jr., 22, 1924 26th Ave., Meridian.

    • Felony DUI — Patrick A. Sullivan, 49, 2098 Old Wire Road, Meridian.

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.
