MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • Attempt to commit an offense — 407 Walnut St., Macon.

    • Possession of marijuana — Mykel A. Randle Sr., 18, 4917 Askew Road, Savoy.

    • DUI — Billy G. Stephens Jr., 50, 4008 Old Homestead Road, Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Randy W. Welborn, 48, 4720 State Blvd., Meridian.

    • Carrying a concealed weapon — Joeies L. Rodgers, 19, 518 38th Ave., Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana — Myrel A. Windham-Randle, 19, 4917 Askew Road, Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct — Darnell L. Hare, 21, 5652 Cooper Circle, Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Jemaine D. Cole, 33, 1906 26th Ave., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — McKenzie B. Washington, 34, 610 49th Ave., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.  

    Commercial Burglary

    • At 7:08 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a commercial burglary in the 3100 block of 8th Street.

    • At 7:16 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a commercial burglary in the 2400 block of 4th Street.

    • At 8:26 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a commercial burglary in the 1100 block of 47th Avenue.

    Auto Burglary

    • At 9:33 a.m. Thursday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 4900 block of 14th Street.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

      The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday

    • DUI — Mark A. Chandler, 49, 3507 Causeyville Road, Meridian.

    • Probation violation — Anthony M. Johnson, 36, 3729 South St., Meridian.

    • Grand larceny — David Matthews, 35, 66 Ronnie Wilson Road, Strunk, Ken.

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    Theft

    • 10300 block Hwy. 494, Collinsville.

    • 2700 block T. M. Jones Road, Meridian.

    Armed robbery

    • Suqualena Meehan Road, Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.
