Law Enforcement Reports: 3-7-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Telephone harassment — Walter Houston, 41, 3314 56th Pl., Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Jermaine D. Cole, 33, 1906 26th Ave., Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana — Tarrance E. Naylor, 24, 317 60th Ave., Meridian.

    • Trespassing — Jereshia R. Adams, 20, 357 North Shore Dr., Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Jeffery M. Sims, 35, 3107 5th St., Meridian.

    • Possession of paraphernalia — Alexander Martin, 30, 1411 23rd Ave., Meridian.

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.  

    Residential Burglary

    • At 12:37 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a burglary in the 1100 block of Church Avenue. Officers arrived at 12:55 p.m. and determined that entry was gained through a door.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's     Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday

    • Trespassing — Jeffery Chapman, 54, 2704 Valley Rd., Meridian.

    • DUI — Donald R. Hollingsworth Jr., 34, 1031 Old Wire Rd., Meridian.

    

    Incident Reports

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    Burglary

    • 9000 block Hwy. 45 N., Lauderdale.

    Disturbance

    • 2700 block Valley Rd., Meridian.

    DUI

    • Hwy. 496, Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Domestic violence — John F. Clay, 40, 200 23rd St., Meridian.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.   

    • Building fire, Hwy. 39 N.

    • Vehicle accident, College Dr.

    • Trash fire, 47th Ave.   

    The volunteer fire departments reported emergency runs between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Vehicle fire, I-59 at mile marker 146. (South)

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 34 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday.
