Law Enforcement Reports: 6-6-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday:

    • Contempt of court – Robert Smith, 37, 5215 5th Street, Meridian.

    •  Malicious mischief – Joseph Blanche, 29, 4820 Cherry Lane, Meridian. Blanche also faces a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.    

        

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from 9 a.m. Wednesday to 9 a.m. Thursday:

Residential Burglary

    • 100 block of 22nd Street.  

Shootings

    • 4400 block of Highland Park Drive

    • Meridian police officers responded to an additional 1 shots-fired calls; officers were unable to locate evidence to support the calls.

    Incident Reports

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday:

        

Intoxicated driver

    • 0 Bolen Long Creek Road, Meridian.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday:

    • Probation violation/parole – Cameron Eason, 30, 530 49th Avenue, Meridian.

    • Felony DUI – Quanelious S. Hayes, 32, 245 Mt. Horeb Road 81, Meridian. Hayes also faces charges of driving with a suspended license and having no liability insurance.

    • Possession of controlled substance – Joel Jungreis, 33, 2100 Popps Ferry Road, Biloxi. Jungreis also faces a charge of careless driving.

    • Bench warrent – Travis Russell, 22, 5833 Point Wynita Lake Road, Chunky.

    

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following fire runs between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday:

    • Medical assist, 42nd Street.

    • Vehicle fire, 16th Street.

    • Medical assist, Powell Drive.

    • Vehicle accident, 22nd Avenue.

    • Smoke removal, 32nd Avenue.

    • False alarm, 29th Avenue.

    • False alarm, 20th Street.

    • Lock in, 42nd Street.

     The Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire departments reported the following runs between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday:

    • EMS, Shields Road. (Clarkdale)

    

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 40 emergency runs Thursday by 3 p.m.
