MERIDIAN —     Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    The Marion Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    • Simple assault — Justin D. Haley, 20, 128 Poterville Zion Church Rd., Porterville.

    • Shoplifting — Shanitra D. Ramsey, 20, 316 Sunflower Rd., Scooba.

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Sunday.  



    • Vehicle accident, 13th St.

    • Good intent call, 8th St.

    • Vehicle accident, Briarwood Rd.


    • Dumpster fire, North Hills St.

    • Vehicle accident, Hwy. 19 N.

    • Lock-in, Hwy. 19 N.

    • Elec. wiring/equip., Hwy. 39 N.

    • False alarm, Donald Ave.

    • Vehicle accident, Hwy. 45 N.


    • Vehicle accident, Hwy. 11 & 80.

    • Elec. wiring/equip., Hwy. 39 N.

    • Medical assist, Hooper St.

    • Vehicle accident, 30th Ave.                     

    The volunteer fire departments reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    • Traffic accident, I-20 @ MM130 (Lost Gap)

    • EMS, Bailey Acres (Bailey)

    • EMS, Hwy. 19 S. (Vimville)

    • EMS, Russell Mt. Gilead Rd. (Toomsuba)

    • Grass fire, Dees Rd. (Russell)

    Metro Ambulance reported 32 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Sunday and 3 p.m. Monday.
