MERIDIAN —     Auto Burglary        

    At 5:57 a.m. Friday morning police responded to an auto burglary in the 1400 block of Roebuck Drive. Upon arrival they were shown how entry was made through a door and tools were stolen. This matter is under investigation.

    At 6:11 a.m. Saturday morning police were called to the 2700 block of Chandler on an auto burglary. Entry was made through a door and a purse was stolen.  

    Police responded to an auto burglary Saturday afternoon in 100 block of 36th Avenue. At 4:49 p.m., police responded and spoke with the victim who showed police where entry was made through a door and a purse was stolen.

    Police responded to an auto burglary call Sunday morning in the 4500 block of Arthur at 6:17 a.m. The victim showed police where entry was made via a window but nothing was stolen from the vehicle.  

      The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    • Burglary — Charles A. Carter, 43, 5212 Breckenridge Dr., Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana — Marcus L. Cole, 29, 1361 Sandflat Rd., Meridian.

    • Burglary — Matthew Collins, 22, 5017 Reece Rd., Meridian.

    • Possession of oxycodone — Dustin B. Daniels, 28, 35 Guy Rd., Greensburg, LA.

    • Simple assault — James R. Davidson, 31, 9389 Pleasant Ridge Rd., Collinsville.

    • DUI — Deangelo R. Ford, 21, 2401 29th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Caster D. Horne, 59, 3025 Interchange, Meridian.

    • DUI — Nicholas C. Johnson, 33, 2201 42nd St., Meridian.

    • DUI — Michael D. Jones, 24, 2356 Hwy. 496, Meridian.

    • DUI — Robert B. Leftwich, 32, 3755 Lakeview Golf Course Rd., Meridian.

    • Felony bad check — Jennifer L. McMillan, 42, 5196 Zero Rd., Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana — Sean D. Ross, 46, 299 17th St., San Diego, CA.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    Burglary

    • 7400 block Lauderdale Toomsuba Rd., Meridian.

    • 9000 block Ligon Dr., Meridian.

    • 9500 block Northeast Cole Rd., Lauderdale.

    Theft

    • 1200 block Hwy. 19 S., Meridian.

    DUI

    • 22nd Ave., Meridian.

    • A St. / 22nd Ave., Meridian.

    • North Frontage Rd., Meridian.

    • 2100 block Wilkerson Loop Rd., Meridian.
