MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department



    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.



    • Shoplifting — Olyn M. Davis, 22, 4720 Hickory Hill Circle, Meridian.

    • DUI — David J. Hudson, 58, 6102 Hwy. 493, Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana — Larry Wallace, 59, 1621 5th St., Meridian.

    • Begging — Sidney A. Boswell, 33, 4061 Whippoorwill Road, Meridian.

    • DUI — Ogra Bel, 30, 401 40th Ave., Meridian.

    • Possession of controlled substance — Lakime Jones, 26, 2100 41st Ave., Meridian.



    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.  



    Residential Burglary

     At 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a burglary in the 4200 block of 37th Avenue.

    • At 6:27 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a burglary in the 4500 block of Highway 39 North.

    Shootings

    • At 11:41 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a shooting call in the 200 block of 23rd Street. Officers arrived at 11:46 p.m. and determined that the residence was hit by a single bullet.



Lauderdale County Sherriff’s Department



    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests from 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday



    • DUI — Shelby J. Peevyhouse, 22, 293 Mt. Horeb Road, Meridian.



Mississippi Highway Patrol



    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.



    • DUI — Alexander J. Folks, 43, 194 Will Garrett Road, Meridian.



Marion Police Department



    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.



Fire runs



    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.   



    • Medical assist, Hwy. 39 By-pass.

    • Electrical problem, Mosby Road     



    The volunteer fire departments reported emergency runs between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.



    • EMS, Hwy. 11/80. (Toomsuba)



Ambulance runs



    Metro Ambulance reported 37 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 3 p.m. Wednesday.
