MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

 

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

 

• Fugitive from justice — Michael C. Barney, 49, 104 Smith Spur Road, Toomsuba.

• Simple assault — LaPorche T. Jones, born 1991, 2015 Mosby Road, Meridian.

• Simple assault — Tevin J. Cole, born 1992, 3780 Rutis Martin Road, Meridian.

• DUI — Anteir L. Martin, born 1980, 1757 Lizzie Road, Meridian.

 

Incident Reports

 

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

 

Stolen Vehicles

• At 5:57 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 200 block of North Hills Street. Officers arrived on scene at 6:14 p.m. and learned that the vehicle was left running.

Auto Burglary

• At 9:24 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 900 block of B Street. Officers arrived at 9:31 a.m. and found that entry was made through a door.

• At 2:46 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 200 block North Hills Street. Officer arrived on scene at 2:57 p.m. and determined that entry was gained through a door.

 

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department

 

The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

 

• DUI — Latissa L. Carter, 41, 1014 28th Ave., Meridian.
