Law Enforcement Reports: 7-3-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Public drunkenness – Jasmine S. Gomez, 27, 1435 22nd Avenue, Meridian.   

    • Domestic violence-simple assault – Anthony J. Rackley, 18, 200 23rd Street, Meridian.    

    • Contempt of court – Joshua Edward Rowe, 34, Meridian.   

    • Shoplifting – Sierra S. Carter, 21, 1236 Front Street, Meridian.    

    • Possession of marijuana – Marcus Wallace, 19, 1300 45th Avenue, Meridian.        

    • Simple assault – Marquita R. Smith, 27, 200 23rd Street, Meridian.  

    Incident Reports

    

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from 9 a.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday:

Commercial Burglary

    • 1200 block of South Frontage Road.  

Stolen Vehicles

    • 7300 block of Newell Road.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's      Department

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Probation violation/parole – Brandi Lashae Dubose, 33, 6510 Tom Powell Road, Toomsuba.

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Dinah Gaye Mixon, 46, 112 Gilbert Lane, Stonewall. Mixon also faces a charge of disturbance in a public place.   

    • Simple assault – Richard Deshawn Naylor, 33, 9563 Northeast Cole Road, Lauderdale.     

    • Probation violation/parole – Jeffery Alonzo Owens, 31, 226 MLK Drive, Meridian.

    • Possession of paraphernalia – Jon Brandon Parker, 18, 3846 Old Highway 19 Southeast, Meridian.

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Elizabeth Ann Seals, 35, 2015 Mosby Road, Meridian. Seals also faces a charge of disregarding a traffic device.   

    • Failure to pay Justice Court, 2 counts – Frederick Lynn Sumrall, 33, 2600 11 Street, Meridian.     

    • Disorderly conduct/failure to obey law enforcement, 2 counts – WIlliam B Thompson, 43, 112 Gilbert Lane, Stonewall. Thompson also faces a charge of disturbance in a public place.          

    Incident Reports

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday:

Assault

    • 300 block of Briarwood Road, Meridian.

Burglary

    • 6500 block of Shannon Road, Whynot.

Intoxicated Driver

    • 22nd Avenue, Meridian

    • 6500 block of Highway 45 By-pass, Meridian.

Missing Person

    • 2000 block of 5th Street, Meridian.

Suicide or Attempted Suicide

    • 240 block of Harper Road, Meridian.  

Theft

    • 2000 block of Hunters Road, Meridian.

    • 10600 Byrd Doerner Road, Collinsville.

    

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following fire runs between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Extrication of victim, Interstate 20.

    • Dispatched, Cancelled in route, Hooper Street.   

    • Lock in, 45th Avenue.

    • Good Intent Call, Highway 19 South.

    • Excessive Heat, Scorch Burns, 11th Place.   

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 35 emergency runs Wednesday by 3 p.m.
