Law Enforcement Reports: 7-2-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday:

    • Contempt of court – Jacoby Terel Davis, 22, 6312 C Street, Meridian.  

    • Contempt of court – Scott Barry Ellis, 50, 106 Carter Street, Quitman.  

    • Court order/mandatory days – Joe Lewis Hayes, 39, 245 Mt. Horeb Road, Meridian.  

    • Destroying city property – Johnny Jerome Patton, 33, 3524 35th Avenue 14, Meridian. Patton also faces a charge of probation violation/parole.   

    • Contempt of court – Mykel A. Randle Sr., 18, 4917 Askew Road, Savoy.   

    • Shoplifting – Ozie Townsend, 55, 2113 22nd Avenue, Meridian.     

    • Leaving the scene of an accident – Alex E. Thompson, 20, 103A Shields Road, Meridian. Thompson also faces a charge of embezzlement.     

    • Simple assault – Levell Reed, 76, 71 Walter Reed Road, Meridian.      

    • Petit larceny – Karen W. Odom, 51, 1121 29th Avenue, Meridian.     

    Incident Reports

    

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from 9 a.m. Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday:

Auto Burglary

    • 100 block of Highway 11&80.

Commercial Burglary

    • 1600 block of Front Street.

Residential Burglary

    • 2500 block of 16th Street.

    • 2900 block of 21st Street.

Shootings

    • Meridian Police Officers responded to 4 shots fired calls. When Officers arrived on scene they were unable to locate evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's      Department

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday:

    • Possession of methamphetamine – Megan Delise Anderson, 22, 633 Chardonnay Circle, Brandon.

    • Bad check-felony (3rd or sub. off of $100 or more) – Michelle Laurice Ash, 43, 9142 Church Road, Collinsville. Ash also faces charges of 3 counts of failure to pay the Justice Court, running a stop sign, and driving with a suspended license.  

    • Possession of marijuana in vehicle – Monesha S. Hardnett, 27, 3520 Gilbert Avenue, Rockford.   

    • Possession of marijuana in vehicle – Tiffeny Harns, 27, 14935 South Richmond Avenue, Houston, TX. Harns also faces a charge of a suspended license.       

    • Sale of marijuana – Jacorious T. Jones, 22, 2015 Mosby Road 8, Meridian.

    • Burglary (commercial building, cars, etc..) – Landis Jeremiah Kelley, 28, 3053 Marion Road,Meridian.  

    • Shoplifting – Karen Wynette Odom, 51, 1121 29th Avenue, Meridian. Odom also faces a charge of petit larceny (up to $500).  

    • Stalking – Sharita Diane Rawls, 27, 1972 Graceland Drive, Meridian.   

    • Disorderly conduct/failure to obey law enforcement – Kimberly Floyd Smith, 48, 349 Taylor Chaple, Anniston, AL.
