Law Enforcement Reports: 6-26-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Contempt of court – Ronald Franklin Brown, 57, Meridian.  

    • Uttering forgery –  Bernard Cedrick Roland, 34, Meridian.

    • Trespassing, second offense – Bobby Darell Rush, 35, 2610 Highland Avenue, Meridian. Rush is also charged with shoplifting ($500 or more).

    • Shoplifting, second offense – Tina M. Ford, 4613 Valley Street, Meridian.   

    • Domestic violence-simple assault – Jerry Eakes, 32, 511 C Street, Meridian.      

    • Giving false information – Brent Gooden, 39, 3411 Gentry Road, Meridian.     

    • Trespassing, second offense – Lachantra L. Hayes, 20, 212 49th Avenue, Meridian.

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – James Crowther, 64, 3544 Valley Road, Meridian.    

    • Public drunkenness – Latasha E. Jackson, 39, 5810 Arthur Street, Meridian.     

    Incident Reports

    

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from 9 a.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday:

Auto Burglary

    • 5000 block of Highway 39 North.

Residential Burglary

    • 500 block of B Street.

Shootings

    • Meridian Police Officers responded to 4 shots fired call. When Officers arrived on scene they were unable to locate evidence to support the call.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's      Department

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Felony DUI – Tanya Rachelle Gilbert, 39, Meridian. Gilbert also faces charges of careless driving, no liability insurance, and driving with a suspended driver's license.

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Isaac Leadam Johnson, 19, Meridian. Johnson also faces charges of speeding (10 to 19 mph over limit) and violation of the insurance card law.   

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Blake Key, 19, Meridian. Key also faces charges of careless driving, possession of marijuana in vehicle, and having no liability insurance.    

    • Sexual battery – Autumn Leigh Wedgeworth, 33, Meridian.          

    Incident Reports

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday:

Burglary

    • 10600 block of Mayatt Road, Collinsville.

Intoxicated Driver

    • Briarwood Road, Meridian.

    • Highway 19 South/Bolden Long Creek Road, Meridian.  

Theft

    • 2100 block of Russell Mt. Gilead Road, Meridian.
