MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The following people were arrested Wednesday, according to the Meridian Police Department:

    • Erica Odoms, born 1978, of 16th Street, simple assault and petit larceny

    • Daphney Bell, born 1966, of 15th Street, simple assault    

    • Ogra Bell, born 1984, of 31st Avenue, public profanity, petit larceny, simple assault and malicious mischief

    • Chris S Miller, born 1964, of Daleville Miss., simple assault threat    

    • Anquenetta S Moore, born 1977, Highway 39 North, contempt    

    • Kerwin R Dawson, born 1980, of Clark Road, contempt    

    • Nehesha Collins, born 1988, 31st Avenue, contempt, trespassing, simple assault

    • Shaina Morgan, born 1986, of King Road, shoplifting    

    • Amber Nicks, born 1992, of 56th Avenue, telephone harassment    

    • Jeremiah D Jones    1995, of Lockhart Trailer Road, possession of marijuana, traffic

    • Anthony Brooks, born 1967, of 26th Avenue, contempt    

    • Joshua R Daw, born 1988, of Bailey Acres, DUI    

    The following incidents were reported to the Meridian Police Department from the time period of Wednesday at 00:01 to Wednesday at 23:59.

Residential Burglary

• 700 block of 23rd Street, nighttime

• 5100 block of Arthur, unknown time

• 3900 block of 23rd Avenue, daytime

• 5100 block of West Gate, daytime

• 600 block of 59th Avenue, daytime

• 3600 block of State Blvd, daytime

• Eastern Gardens, unknown time

Auto Burglary                                

• 1300 block of 43rd Avenue, nighttime

• Mall area, nighttime


      • A man reported to Meridian police Wednesday that he was the victim of an armed robbery on Sunday in the 2500 block of Old Marion Road. The victim stated he went to the area to buy illegal narcotics when he was robbed by a black male of his money. The victim fled on foot and was uninjured.

      • At 2343 hours last night, a black male with his face covered robbed the Burger King on North Frontage Road at gunpoint, according to a police report. The victim described the suspect as being 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. The suspect fled north on foot after the robbery and no one was injured, police reported.
