Law Enforcement Reports: 1-17-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday:

    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI), first offense – Joni Chanell Williams, 26, 1913 Martin Luther King Drive, Meridian. Williams also faces charges for disorderly conduct/failure to obey law enforcement officer (two counts), resisting arrest, escape, driving without a license and leaving the scene of an accident.

    • Simple assault/domestic – Donovan J. West, YOB: 1993, 4524 Highway 39 North, Meridian. West also faces charges for false reporting of crime.

    • Carrying concealed weapon – Darnell Hare, YOB: 1993, 5652 Cooper Circle, Meridian.

    • Loitering – Donald L. Saterfield, YOB: 1957, 1660 32nd St., Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct – Emma Abbot, YOB: 1972, 370 Extended Stay Suites, Meridian.

    • Shooting inside the city – Joseph S. Martin, YOB: 1973, 9495 Martin-Collinsville Road, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Lakundria S. Blankney, YOB: 1989, 910 42nd Ave., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Jermarquis D. Malone, YOB: 1992, 4809 13th St., Meridian.

    • Simple assault/domestic – William Atterberry, YOB: 1994, 4524 Highway 39 North. Atterberry also faces charges for false reporting of crime.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's      Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday:

    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI), first offense – Alex Trevor Alday, 23, 8395 Kewanee Road, Lauderdale. Alday also faces charges for disorderly conduct/failure to obey law enforcement officer, possession of paraphernalia and conspiracy to possession of controlled substance.

    • Telephone harassment – Robert Harris, 22, 8054 Van Zyverden Road, Meridian.    • DUI, first offense – Lamar Walker, 18, 2015 32nd Ave., Meridian. Walker also faces charges for driving without a license, improper license tag display and violation of insurance card in vehicle law.

    The Mississippi Department of Corrections reported the following arrests between 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday:

    • Probation violation/parole – James Alexander Starks, 24, 1801 24th St, V2, Meridian.

Auto Burglary

    • 900 block of 45th Avenue. Entry gained through a door.
