MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

    • Public drunk — Michael D. Griggs, 25, 2611 10th St., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence — Shawn R. McQuaig, 28, 4524 Highway 39 N., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Amanda F. Day, born 1989, homeless, Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Cynthia B. Knighten, born 1965, 1728 45th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Anthony K. Randle, born 1970, 1722 11th Ave., Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Latony M. Jordan, born 1993, 910 28th Ave., Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Soranna S. Dean, born 1991, 1318 19th St., Meridian.

    • Public drunk — William J. Burnette, born 1966, Birmingham, Ala.

    • Disorderly conduct — Jamillian Benamon, born 1990, homeless, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Samarcus K. Bester, born 1993, 63 W. 4th Ave., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Hakeem L. Derry, born 1993, 1814 27th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Nedra K. York, born 1979, 164 Lagoon Road, Meridian.

    • Trespassing — Taquantis L. Bell, born 1993, 2032 26th Ave., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.  

    Robbery

    • Sunday, at 10:10 p.m., police responded to a robbery in the 500 block of North Frontage Road. The suspects in this case are a B/F and B/M. They took money from the victim.

    Stolen Vehicles

    • Saturday, at 1:46 p.m., police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 200 block of North Hills Street.  The victim left his car running while he went inside.

    • Saturday, at 7:28 p.m., police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 4600 block of 8th Street.  The victim left his car running when he ran into a store.

    Auto Burglary

    • Saturday, at 4:00 p.m., police responded to an auto burglary in the 1600 block of Bonita lakes Circle.  Entry was gained through a door.

    • Sunday, at 7:16 a.m., police responded to an auto burglary in the 2400 block of Highway 39 North.  Entry was gained through a door.

    • Monday, at 3:35 a.m., police responded to an auto burglary in the 7100 block of Highway 80 West.  Entry was gained through a window.

    Residential Burglary

    • Thursday, at 2:18 p.m., police responded to a burglary in the 600 block of 57th Avenue. Entry was gained through a door.

    • Thursday, at 3:30 p.m., police responded to a burglary in the 600 block of 56th Avenue. Entry was gained through a door.

    • Thursday, at 4:00 p.m., police responded to a burglary in the 4000 block of 35th Street. Entry was gained through a window.
