MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • DUI — Ismael Velez Jr., 47, 504 Finch Ln., Kissimmee, FL.

    • Escape — Barry Burrage, born 1962, 18th Ave., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    Residential Burglary

    • 4100 block of Royal Rd.

    Auto Burglary                                

    • 3600 block of 26th St.

    MPD arrests

    Tuesday, Meridian Police Department authorities charged 32-year-old Detonrick V. Graham of Meridian with rape. His bond was set at $150,000. The victim and the suspect knew of each other.

    At about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Meridian Police Department officers responded to the Cefco at 35th Avenue and 45th Street on a disturbance call. Upon arrival they learned there had been a fight among juveniles in the parking lot and inside the store. During the fight a gun was fired in the direction of the store with at least one round striking the store window. No one was injured from the gunfire and police are investigating the incident.  

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department

       

     The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    • Shoplifting — Jimmy L. Davis, 40, 4506 Valley Rd., Meridian.

    • Felony DUI — Jacqueline L. Dearing, 46, 820 Bragg Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Roderick D. Murphy, 39, 4508 Ashland Dr., Baker, LA.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    Assault

    • 3500 block Hwy. 11/80, Meridian.

    Burglary

    • 10200 block Rabbit Rd., Meridian.

    • 700 block Wildwood Dr., Meridian.

    Theft

    • York Rd., Lauderdale.

    

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported no emergency runs between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.        

    The volunteer fire departments reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Ambulance Runs

    

    Metro Ambulance reported 38 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 3 p.m. Wednesday
