Law Enforcement Reports: 5-2-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 10 a.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday:

    • Failure to pay child support – Maurice W. Dixon, 27, 11031 CR 430, Meridian.

    • Fugitive from justice – Michael A. Lee, 28, 910 10th St., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Cordarious McDonald, 19, 3162 East Cook Road, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Kamara M. May, 23, 1518 45th Ave., Meridian.

    • Giving false information –     Johnny M. Sublette, 48, 3147 Officers Lake Road, Meridian.

    • Stalking – Jose Garcia, 43, 602 Panola Road, Meridian.

    • Simple assault – Shannon McClelland, 30, Charlie Dunn Road, Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct – Michael M. Lee, 29, 909 10th St., Meridian. Lee also faces charges for possession of marijuana.

    • Simple assault, two counts – Vivian McClelland, 28, 3810 Paulding St., Meridian.

    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI), first offense – Joseph P. Black, 29, 115 N. 18th St., Meridian.

    • Violation of school attendance law, two counts – Casey M. Mardis, 26, 6209 Oakland Park St., Meridian.

        

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Wednesday to Thursday:

Commercial Burglary

    • 1900 block of Front Street.

    • 1800 block of Highway 39 By-pass.  

Auto Burglary

    • 1800 block of 16th Avenue.

    • 1800 block of 16th Avenue

Shootings

    Meridian police officers responded to 5 shots-fired calls and upon arriving on scene were unable to locate evidence to support the calls.

        

Lauderdale County Sheriff's      Department

            

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 10 a.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday:

    • Probation violation/Parole – Dela C Barrett III, 31, 12888 Suqualena Road, Chunky.

    • Possession of methamphetamine with intent – Kenneth Scott Cunningham, 35, 192 Harper Road, Meridian.

    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI), second offense – Charles R. Donald, 38, 5717 CR 150, Stonewall. Donald also faces a charge for careless driving.

    • Probation violation/Parole – Dustin Robert Forrester, 26, 3514 Highway 11/80, Toomsuba.

    • DUI, second offense – Kelsey Elizabeth Harris, 22, 3048 CR 24, Hickory. Harris also faces charges for careless driving, driving without liability insurance and driving without a license.

    • DUI, first offense – Charles Demont Jones, 26, 1914 50th Ave., Meridian. Jones also faces charges for seatbelt violation, driving without a license and driving without liability insurance.

    • Child support, failure to pay – Carl LeShaun Jordan, 34, 2418 Third Ave., Meridian. Jordan also faces a charge for probation violation/parole.

    • Domestic violence-Simple assault – Lauren Majure McWilliams, 60, 8100 Old Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct/Failure to obey law enforcement officer – Onnie Elaine Obeid-Strickland, 36, 4814 Valley Road, Lot 33, Meridian.

    • Domestic violence-Simple assault – Preston E. Sims, 30, 918 Wilder Drive, Meridian.

    • Child support failure to pay – Steven Lee Stewart, 30, 10499 Pine Lake Drive, Meridian.
