Law Enforcement Reports: 4-09-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday:

    • Domestic violence-Simple assault – Anqunet C. Hood, 24, 107 71st Place 6, Meridian.    • Shoplifting, less than $250 (two counts) – Lanie Jean Horne, 52, 100 Stoke Circle, Quitman. Horne is also charged with possession of paraphernalia.

    • Shoplifting – Flora Hudson, 29, 845 Highway South 137, Meridian.

    • Domestic violence – Everett L. Ray, 30, 107 71st Place A6, Meridian.

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Monday and Tuesday:

Commercial Burglary

    • 600 block of 59th Avenue.

Residential Burglary

    • 4300 block of Poplar Springs Drive.

    • 2200 block of 26th Avenue.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's       Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday:

    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI), first offense – Rose Ann Dearman, 42, 1403 Bynum Road, Meridian. Dearman is also charged with careless driving, driving without liability insurance and improper equipment.

    • DUI, second offense – Angela Lee James, 54, 8613 Highway 495, Meridian.

.    • Disorderly conduct/Failure to obey law enforcement officer – Mitchell Anthony James, 25, 8613 Highway 495, Meridian. James is also charged with possession of a controlled substance.    • Failure to pay (Justice Court) – David Monroe Joles, 44, 9132 Joles Road, Lauderdale.

    • Possession of methamphetamine – Joshua Allen Jones, 30, 1410 36th Ave., Meridian.

    • Probation violation/Parole – Fredrick Maurice McDonald, 33, 2216 39th Ave., Meridian.

    Incident Reports

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday:

Theft

    • 5900 block of Zero Road, Meridian.

    • 8200 block of Headstart Road, Collinsville.

    • 2600 Highway 496, Meridian.

Disturbance

    • 9300 Lauderdale-Toomsuba Road 17, Meridian

Intoxicated driver

    • Crescent Lake Road, Meridian

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs for Monday:  

    • Vehicle accident                    10th Avenue

    • Vehicle accident                    Eighth Street

    • Vehicle fire                        Donald Avenue

    • Lock-out                        South Frontage Road

    • Vehicle accident                    North Hills Street

    • Vehicle accident                    Poplar Springs Drive

    • Gas leak                        35th Avenue

    • Lock-in                            Fifth Street

    The Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire departments reported the following fire runs for Sunday and Monday:

    • Accident, with injuries            Highway 80 (Meehan)

    • Assist, flooding                    Wilson-Dale Road (Collinsville)

    • Assist, lifting                    Springhill Loop (Long Creek)

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 57 emergency runs Tuesday at 4 p.m.
