Law Enforcement Reports: 6-13-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday:

    • Domestic violence – Latrevia Donwell, 24, 3854 Rufus Martin Road, Meridian.  

    • Contempt of court – Murphy G. Lanier, 41, 3005 7th Street 20, Meridian. Lanier also faces a charge of public drunkenness.  

    • Disorderly conduct/failure to obey law enforcement – Morris Robinson III, 27, 5402 Gene Carr Road, Meridian. Robinson also faces charges of possession of marijuana-first offense, having false ID information, having no liability insurance, and driving with a suspended license.  

    • Contempt of court – Heather Wallace, 40, 101 Clarence Culpepper Road, Chunky.

    • Contempt of court-2 counts – Kentrell Wilson, 39, 2324 Grandview Avenue, Meridian.      

    • Simple assault-domestic – Kadarius L. Lockhart, 22, 4215 North Hills Street, Meridian.

    • Simple assault-domestic – Davion Hardy, 31, 805 A Street, Meridian.  

    • Shoplifting – Chiquita Terrell, 27, 4324 Butts Road, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Laquinta Fortner, 25, 4324 Butts Road, Meridian.

    • Simple assault-domestic – James A. Williams, 23, 2218 1/2 35th Avenue, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Destiny Gordon, 20, 3231 Highland Avenue, Meridian. Gordan also faces a charge of giving false information.

    

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Wednesday to Thursday:

Auto Burglary

    • 2000 block of Mosby Road.

    • 5300 block of 8th Street Extension.

Residential Burglary

    • 100 block of 29th Avenue.

    • 3200 block of West Druid Circle.

Stolen Vehicles

    • 5100 block of Highway 39 North.

Shootings

    • Meridian police officers responded to 6 shots-fired calls; officers were unable to locate evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    Incident Reports

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday:

Assault

    • 8300 block of Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian.

Burglary

    • 9500 block of Serton Road, Lauderdale.

    • 1400 block of Askew Road, Meridian.

    • 5500 Highway 19 North, Meridian.

Intoxicated driver

    • 1200 block of 22nd Avenue Heights, Meridian.

    • Highway 19 North-Collinsville, Meridian.

    • Highway 19 South-Crossroads, Meridian.

Theft

    • 5300 block of Highway 496, Toomsuba.

    • 2100 block of Knox Road, Toomsuba.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday:

    • Driving under the influence (DUI) first offense – Russell M. Bradley, 22, 5366 Zero Road, Meridian. Bradley also faces charges of failure to dim lights and having no license tag.

    • Simple assault – Christopher Butler, 32, 4892 S. L. Wilson Road, Meridian. Butler also faces a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) first offense.

    • Intent to defraud, credit card-Felony(More $100) – Summer Robbins, 26, 5998 Dale Drive A, Meridian.  

    • Driving under the influence (DUI) first offense – Trent Roberts, 28, 936 Jack Crowell Road, West Monroe LA. Roberts also faces charges of careless driving and failure of having liability insurance.    

    • Failure to pay child support – Demetric Young, 26, 1619 13th Avenue, Meridian.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following fire runs between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday:

    • Arching, shorted electrical equipment, 31st Street.

    • False alarm, Highway 80 West.  

    • False alarm, 5th Street.

    • Rubbish fire, 18th Avenue.

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 33 emergency runs Thursday by 3 p.m.
