Law Enforcement Reports: 6-11-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday:

    • Contempt of court – Lawrence Hampton, 44, 2302 1/2 32nd Avenue, Meridian.

    • Court order – Charles Holloway III, 52, 1003 36th Avenue, Meridian.    

    • Attempted armed robbery – Kiara S. Pickens, 20, 352 Halsell Road, Lisman AL. Pickens also faces a charge of aggravated assault.   

    • Armed robbery – Laquanta Price, 22, 179 McCoy Road, Cuba AL. Price also faces a charge of aggravated assault.

    • Disorderly conduct – Anthony Hopson, 25, 2126 34th Avenue, Meridian.

    • Drinking in public – Jamillion Benamon, 24, 6565 Highway 21, Preston.

    

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from 9 a.m. Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday:

Commercial Burglary

    • 2700 block of South Frontage Road.

Shootings

    • Meridian police officers responded to 1 shots-fired calls; officers were unable to locate evidence to support the calls.

    Incident Reports

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 9 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday:

        

Armed Robbery

    • 6500 block of State Boulevard, Meridian.    

Intoxicated driver

    • Centerhill Martin Road, Meridian.

    • West Lauderdale Road, Meridian.

Theft

    • 7800 block of David Newell Road, Meridian.

    • 200 block of Will Garrett Road, Toomsuba.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday:

    • Possession of cocaine – Crystal Biffle, 29, Pickens Street, Livingston AL.

    • Possession of weapon by a felon – Ellis Cenales, 33, 10641 Highway 80 West, Meridian.     

    • Driving under the influence (DUI) first offense – Charles Houston III, 49, 81 County Road 326, Flyffe AL. Houston also faces a charge of careless driving.   

    • Telephone harassment – Kelly A. Miles, 39, 4640 Poplar Springs drive, Meridian.

    • Simple assault- attempt to create fear – Janie Rainer, 54, 100 A Springhill Road, Meridian.

    • Driving under the influence (DUI) first offense – Louis Sepeda, 605 Avenue A, Sinton TX. Sepeda also faces a charge of driving without a license.  

    Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following fire runs between 9 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday:
