Law Enforcement Reports: 5-29-14

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Burglary – Donald Adams, 37, Meridian.

    • Possession of stolen firearm – Corey C. Collins, 29, 1515 50th Ave., Meridian. Collins also faces an additional charge of possession of a stolen firearm.   

    • Simple assault threat – Gerald T. Lewis, 44, 390 Sweet Gum Bottom Road, Meridian.

    • Trespassing – Cynthia Williams, 29, 2305 D St., Meridian.

    • Simple assault – Amber A. Harris, 25, 200 23rd St., Meridian.      

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from 9 a.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday:

Robbery

    • 1500 block of 65th Avenue.

    • 4400 block of 35th Avenue.

Residential Burglary

    • 1700 block of 5th Avenue.

Commercial Burglary

    • 3400 block of 8th Street.

Shootings

    • 1600 block of 17th Avenue.

    • Meridian police officers responded to an additional 3 shots-fired calls; officers were unable to locate evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's     Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Shoplifting  – Belinda Goodbread, 24, 10391 McCraw Road, Meridian.

    • Probation violation/parole – Franklin Null, 48, 6083 Zero Road, Meridian.  

    • Driving under the influence (DUI) first offense – Derrick Scott, 29, 3715 19th Court, Meridian. Scott also faces charges of driving with no license tag and no liability insurance.   

    • Failure to pay child support – Tiwan Terrell, 28, 3005 7th St., Meridian. Terrell also faces charges of speeding and driving with a suspended license.   

    

    Incident Reports

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday:

        

Intoxicated driver

    • 0 Poplar Springs Drive-Stratford Manor, Meridian.  

    • 9000 block of Highway 19 South, Collinsville.

Accident

    • 5000 block of Causeyville Road, Meridian.  

    Mississippi Department of Corrections reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Sale of cocaine – Shawana Avery, 39, 9435 Hamrick Road, Collinsville.

    • Probation violation/parole – Vance Tripp, 40, 9273 Les Harwell Road, Collinsville.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following fire runs between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday:
