Law Enforcement Reports: 9-27-13

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Public drunk — Lakeith J. Jones, 23, 2427 4th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI — Larry A. Justice, 34, 807 County Line Rd., Meridian.

    • Domestic violence — Robert J. Lee, 31, 1421 16th St., Meridian.

    • DUI — Monte D. Wade, 28, 5311 8th Street Ext., Meridian.

Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.   

    Residential Burglary

    Police responded to a residential burglary in the 2400 block of 40th Avenue at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Entry was made through a door and a TV was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.  

    Stolen Vehicle

    Police investigated a report of a stolen vehicle on Wednesday at 5:17 p.m. in the 2800 block of 8th Street. The vehicle was recovered later by police and returned to the owner.

    Police investigated a report of a stolen vehicle in the 700 block of Briarwood Road on Wednesday at 12:20 p.m. The complainant told police someone stole the vehicle and caused damage to it before returning it to the location.

    Auto Burglary        

    Police responded to an auto burglary in the 500 block of Bonita Lakes Drive on Wednesday at 7 a.m. Entry was through a door and miscellaneous items were stolen.  

    Police responded to an auto burglary in the 2700 block of Willow Drive Wednesday at 7:39 a.m. Entry was through a door and miscellaneous items were stolen.

    Police responded to an Auto Burglary in the 400 block of Willow Drive on Wednesday at 8:39 a.m. Entry was through a door and money stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

    Arrest

    Yesterday, Meridian Police arrested 21 year old Mitchell J. Roberts of Collinsville and charged him with DUI Manslaughter. This charge stems from an auto accident that occurred in the 100 block of Highway 19 North on July 13, 2013 that claimed the life of a 14 year old male.  Bond was set at 50,000.
