MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 9:22 a.m. Wednesday and 9:22 a.m. Thursday:

    • Trespassing – Cleveland L. Colton, born 1982, 25th Ave., Meridian. Colton also faces charges for assault on a minor.

    • Trespassing – Shannon K. McClelland, born 1984, Charlie Dunn Road, Meridian.

    • Escaping custody – Curtis Houston, born 1978, no address provided.

    • Domestic violence-Simple assault – Danny Antonio Rakestraw Jr., 35, 3220 West Lake Drive, Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 12:01 a.m. and 12:59 a.m. Wednesday:

Residential Burglary

    • 2200 block of 16th Avenue, nighttime

Auto Burglary                                

    • 2700 block of 45th Street, unknown time

    • 3500 block of 36th Street, nighttime

Stolen Vehicle

     • 3100 block of Fifth Street, daytime, 1995 Mercury Marquis, tan, LCJ-617

Western Gardens, key, nighttime, recovered        

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 9:22 a.m. Wednesday and 9:22 a.m. Thursday:

    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI), first offense — Kaylyn Barrett, 24, 623 Hills St., Meridian.

    • Simple assault – Sharron Blanks, 36, 1730 Lizzie Road, Meridian.

    • Grand larceny, more than $500 – Zackary jerome Gustavis, 29, 445 Fredric Ave., Jackson.

    • Possession of marijuana, third offense within two years – Jeremy C. Hughes, 26, P.O. Box 44, Hickory

     • DUI, second offense – Melanie McQuaig, 53, 9035 A Highway 19 North, Collinsville.McQuaig also faces charges for careless driving.

    • Burglary, dwelling or house – Joseph Todd Turner, 27, 197 Meadows Drive, Brandon.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 9:22 a.m. Wednesday and 9:22 a.m. Thursday:

    Burglary

    • 1300 Will Wright Road, Meridian

    Vandalism

    • 300 block Branch Estates Road B, Meridian

    Theft

    • 5300 Mini Farm Road E, Meridian

    • 5100 Pioneer Drive, Meridian

    Intoxicated driver

    • Highway 19 North, Meridian

    Stolen vehicle

    • Highway 80 West, Meridian

    Petit larceny

    • 10500 Highway 80 West, Meridian

    Assault

    • 2000 Fifth Street, Meridian

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs for Wednesday:  

    • False alarm                                22nd Avenue

    • False call                                Fifth Street

    • Electric wiring/equipment    problem            Highway 19 North

     • Vehicle accident                            Highway 19 South

    • Vehicle accident                            Highway 39 North

    The Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire Departments reported no emergency runs:

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 60 emergency runs Thursday at 2 p.m.
