MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 9:05 a.m. Wednesday and 9:05 a.m. Thursday:

    • Fleeing and eluding in a motor vehicle – Detrez Jerrod Wilson, 22, 58 West Pecan St., Grenada.

    • Simple assault – LaWanda Roberts, YOB: 1976, Ninth Avenue.

    • False reporting/crime – Caleb J. McRee, YOB: 1988, Campground Road.

    • False information  – Prince Donald Jr., YOB: 1992, Woodridge Drive.

    • Disorderly conduct – Fredrick L. Davis, YOB: 1980, Old 80 West.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's       Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 9:05 a.m. Wednesday and 9:05 a.m. Thursday:

    • Possession of a controlled substance – Kasey Marie Atkins, 31, 2561 Old Highway 19 SE, Meridian.

    • Burglary-dwelling/house – Derrick DeLarenta Brewster, 27, 706 634d Ave., H-2, Meridian.

    • Grand larceny, more than $500 – James D. Langley, 32, 11867 Lamar Drive, Collinsville.

    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI), third offense – Fred Micheal Mabry, 32, 4570 Meehan Savoy Road, South, Enterprise.

    • Petit larceny, up to $500 –Derrick Austin Parker, 18, 3130 Willow Drive, Meridian.

    • Shooting into dwelling/house, three counts — Tamarcus Montell Smith, 18, 4715 13th St., Meridian. Smith is also charged with aggravated assault.

    • Simple assault – Justin Lee Tran, 28, 2999 Highway 496, Meridian. Tran is also charged with trespassing.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents between 9:05 a.m. Wednesday and 9:05 a.m. Thursday:


    • 2900 block of Highway 496, Meridian    



    • 10200 block of Masonic Lodge Road, Meridian


    • 200 block of Springhill Road, Meridian

    • 360 block of Branch Estates Road, Meridian

    Petit larceny

    • 2700 block of Vally Road, Meridian

    Intoxicated driver

    • Lauderdale/Toomsuba, Meridian

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported the following arrests between 9:05 a.m. Wednesday and 9:05 a.m. Thursday:

    • Underage consumption – Miguel Montelongo Lopez, 20, 1367 Jefferson Road 23, Demopolis, Ala.

    • Public drunkenness – Johnny Lee Smith, 23, 4697 Dale Drive, Lot 23, Marion.

    • Domestic violence-Simple assault – Julius Hubert Wilson, 32, 6450 Confederate Drive, Marion.

    • Domestic violence-Simple assault – Shanika Sharun Wilson, 33, 6450 Confederate Drive A, Marion.

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs on Wednesday:  

    • Building fire        24th Street

    • Special type of incident

    • Vehicle accident        Poplar Springs Drive

    • Vehicle accident        Highway 39 North

    The Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire departments reported the following emergency runs on Tuesday:

    • EMS             Secton Road (Lauderdale)

    • EMS                Cook Road (Lauderdale)

    • Brush fire            Highway 494 (Collinsville)

    • MVC, with injuries    Causeyville Road (Long Creek)

    • Structure fire        Valley Road (South/Clarkdale/Lost Gap)

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 60 emergency runs Thursday at 4 p.m.
