MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Domestic violence — Danny A. Rakestraw Jr., 36, 2905 Hwy. 45 N., Meridian.

    • Simple assault — James W. Love, born 1987, 11245 Townsend Byrd Rd., Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Cephus M. Samuels, born 1990, 1909 9th Ave., Meridian.

    • Escape — Everette R. Horner, born 1983, 635 Azalea Dr., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting — Brandi L. Dubose, 32, 6510 Tom Powell Rd., Toomsuba.

    • Domestic violence — James W. Love, 26, 11245 Townsend Byrd Rd., Collinsville.

    • Possession of controlled substance — Shania L. Morgan, 27, 3800 King Rd., Meridian.

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.  

    Auto Burglary

    • At 6:17 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 2300 block of South frontage Road. Entry was gained through a door.

    • At 7:48 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 100 block of Highway 11 and 80. Entry was gained through a window.

    • At 7:48 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 100 block of Highway 11 and 80. Entry was gained through a window.    

    

Lauderdale County Sheriff's     Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Failure to appear in justice court — William D. Johnson, 28, 566 Pippen Rd., Meridian.

    • DUI — Carlton B. Steele, 47, 121 Henderson Pl., Lucedale.

    

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported no incidents from 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.   

    • False alarm, 4th St.

    • Vehicle fire, 42nd Ave.

    • Water or steam leak, Front Street Ext.

    • False alarm, 69th Ave.

    • False alarm, 14th St.

    • Good intent call, Oakdale Ave.                

    The volunteer fire departments reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

    • Assist other agency, Dale Dr. (Marion)

    

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 35 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday.
