MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • DUI — Torris D. Clark, 36, 8860 Hwy. 493, Bailey.

    • Felony bad check — Joyce Deaton, 42, 15491 Hwy. 39 N., DeKalb.

    • DUI — Daniel J. Dentro, 25, 42385 Moody Dixon Rd., Praimeville, LA.

    • Probation violation — Deangelo R. Ford, 22, 1801 24th St., Meridian.

    • Armed robbery — Jimmy D. Rush, 20, 2462 36th Pl., Meridian.

    • Trespassing — Rico C. Rutley, born 1990, 4608 Pacific St., Meridian.

    • Simple assault — Robbin E. Gowdy, born 1986, 3135 Thornton Rd., Meridian.

    • DUI — Timothy B. Barnett, born 1963, 10740 CR 511, Meridian.

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.  

    Commercial Burglary

    • At 5:49 a.m. Friday, police responded to a commercial burglary in the 2000 block of Highway 39 North. Officer arrived at 5:52 a.m. and found a window busted out.

    Auto Burglary

    • At 6:24 p.m. Thursday, police responded to an auto burglary in the 900 block of Rubush Avenue. Officer arrived at 6:26 a.m. and determined that entry was made through the door of the car.   

    

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • Disturbance — Pearlie M. Davis, 26, 1943 Knox Rd., Meridian.

    • Failure to pay child support — Tony T. Dunnigan, 27, 1411 34th Ave., Meridian.

    • Probation violation — John M. Parker, 37, 365 Jeffery Acres Rd., Meridian.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    Vandalism

    • 7600 block Pine Springs Rd., Meridian.

Mississippi Highway Patrol

    Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

Marion Police Department

    The Marion Police Department reported no arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

Fire Runs

    The Meridian Fire Department reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.   

    • Brush fire, 20th St.

    • Carbon monoxide alarm, 23rd St.

    • Unauthorized burning, 43rd Ave.

    • False alarm, Mosby Rd.

    • Smoke removal, Old 8th Street Rd.

    • False alarm, St. Louis St.

    • Medical assist, 34th Ave.

    • Vehicle accident, 18th Ave.

    • Vehicle accident, Poplar Springs Dr.

    • Vehicle fire, I-20.                

    The volunteer fire departments reported the following emergency runs between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    • Grass fire, Hwy. 496 (Southeast)

    • Grass fire, Butts Rd. (Toomsuba)

    • EMS, Lauderdale Toomsuba Rd. (Toomsuba)

    

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 34 emergency runs between 3 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. Friday.
