Meridian Police Department



The Meridian Police Department reported the following suspected non-traffic violations between 2:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Monday:



• Driving Under the Influence (DUI) first offense — Angelia L. Caines, 41, 770 Ewen Road

• DUI first offense — Curtis Alexander Pannell, 40, 601 Gray St., Waynesboro

• Aggravated assault — James Lee, 57, 2710 11th St. Lee is also charged with contempt of court.

• Fighting — James Leroy Dearing, 52, 820 Bragg Ave.

• Failure to pay child support — Antonio H. Moffite, 23, 2213 23rd Ave.

• Domestic violence, simple assault — Marcus A. Jones, 24, 2105 Martin Luther King Drive



Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department



The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following suspected non-traffic violations between 2:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Monday:



• Possession of cocaine — Christopher John Williams, 39, 3007 St. Paul St.

• DUI first offense — Bill Johnson, 32, 5223 Mini Farm Road

• DUI (refusal to take tests) — Matthew Beau Nicholson, 22, 5627 16th Place

• DUI first offense — Jessica Gressett, 23, 3407 69th Ave.

• Domestic violence,simple assault — Jennifer Gibbon Seal, 41, 3309 Old Eighth Street Road

• DUI first offense — William Earl Lummus, 53, 10415 Rabbit Road. Lummus is also charged with simple assault

• Possession of marijuana over one ounce — Omar Sharriff Gowdy, 2611 Greenloop Road, Lauderdale

• Felony motor vehicle theft — Brian D. Slaton, 31, 204 Oak Park, Pearl
