Meridian Police Department



The Meridian Police Department reported the following suspected non-traffic violations between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday:



• Embezzlement — Erica S. Grace, 22, 2014 28th Ave.

• Contempt of court — William K. Lester, 57, 625 52nd Ave., Toomsuba

• Disturbing the peace — James Matthew Blalock, 61, 1489 Newton Bethel Road, Newton



Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department



The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following suspected non-traffic violations between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 230 p.m. Tuesday:



• Aggravated assault, domestic violence — Billy Kinard, 31, 9557 Mt. Carmel Road, Bailey. Kinard is also charged with felony motor vehicle theft, kidnapping, and robbery.

• Felony motor vehicle theft — Tikeshalia Shaviece Mays, 18, 226 Zieman St., Pritchard, Ala. Mays is also charged with kidnapping, robbery and aggravated assault, domestic violence.

• Felony bad check — M.L. L. Nichols, 916 Shannon Lee, Brandon.

• Simple assault by threat — Turner Roman Alford, 35, 1643 Highway 19 South. Alford is also charged with telephone harassment, seven counts of contempt of court.

• Simple assault — Fred Allen Herrington, 43, 9467 A Highway 495. Herrington is also charged with trespassing.

• Dog stealing — Nikkie K. Warren, 21, 11995 Old Highway 80 West. Warren is also charged with trespassing.

• Simple assault — Michael Dewayne Warren, 26, 11995 Old Highway 11 South, Bailey. Warren is also charged with simple assault causing bodily injury, two counts of dog stealing and trespassing.

• Public drunk — Jon Tyler Pope, 24, 4786 Vimville Causeyville Road

• Driving Under the Influence (DUI) second offense — Thomas Neville Walters, 61, 5811 Windsor Circle. Walters is also charged with four counts of failure to pay justice court.

• Domestic violence, simple assault — Bill Johnson, 32, 5223 Mini Farm Road. Johnson is also charged with contempt of court.

• Possession of cocaine — Ray Ameachie Overstreet, 38, 1421 Azealia Drive

• Felony credit card intent to defraud — Antwan J. Turner, 27, 7581 Espy Road, Bailey

• Sale of controlled substance — Quincy Dewayne Cole, 32, 1719 Highway 19 North

Burglary:

• 2000 block of Valley Road



Domestic violence:

• 5000 block of Mini Farm Road



Intoxicated person:

• 2000 block of Russell Mt. Gilead Road



Vandalism:

• 2000 block of Old Highway 19 SE

• 8000 block of Headstart Road



Fire runs



The Meridian Fire Department reported the following fire runs for Aug. 18.

• EMS — Tommy Webb Drive

• EMS — Eighth Avenue

• EMS — Grandview Avenue

• False alarm — Bonita Lakes Circle

• Good intent call — 17th Street



The Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire Departments did not issue any fire runs for Aug. 18.



Ambulance runs



Metro Ambulance reported 46 runs from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
