Meridian Police Department



The Meridian Police Department reported the following suspected non-traffic violations between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday:



• Possession of paraphernalia — Dewey McDade II, 39, 4936 30th St. McDade is also charged with possession of marijuana, less than ounce.

• Shoplifting, first offense – Cedrick D. Lanier, 19, 227 Oakland Park Drive

• Disorderly conduct – Jeremy Douglas, 20, 12206 Highway 494, Collinsville

• Possession of controlled substance – Tim Litchfield, 26, 10153 Morgan Road. Litchfield is also charged with trespassing.

• Public drunkenness – Dennis R. Lewis, 49, 2011 44th Ave.

• Public drunkenness – Willie J. Walk Jr., 43, 2203 15th Ave.

• Disturbance of family – Billie Stephens, 43, 4328 Rubush Drive

• Driving Under the Influence (DUI), first offense — Jerry D. Williams, 36, 3000 1/2 13th St.

• DUI, first offense – Edward E. Wilkinson, 32, 10212 Road 2638, Philadelphia. Wilkinson is also charged with failure to produce a driver's license, no proof of insurance, driving with an expired tag and careless driving.

• DUI, refusal – Mary L. Chamblee, 43, 2643 48th St. Chamblee is also charged with disorderly conduct.

• Domestic violence — Shanice Nealy, 34, 2103 Ninth Ave.

• Public drunkenness – John Ashford, 62, Oakland Heights, Apt. 4

• Public drunkenness – John Davis, 56, Oakland Heights, Apt. 43

• Disorderly conduct – Russell Elerby, 45, 618 49th Ave.

• Contempt of court – Samuel S. Pritchett 41, 604 45th Ave.



Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department



The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following suspected non-traffic violations between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday:



• Credit card fraud, four counts — Shantris Naylor, 30, 2618 17th St. Naylor is also charged with driving without a license and violation of child restraint law (two counts)

• Simple assault — John Straight, 31, 1719 Highway 19 North, Apt. #98.

• Driving Under the Influence (DUI), first offense — Angela D. Melton 42, 7721 Highway 503, Hickory. Melton is also charged with careless driving.

• DUI, third offense – Keitric L. Randle, 28, 1676A Willow Lake Road. Randle is also charged with driving with a suspended license, failure to stop for blue lights, disregard for traffic device, improper equipment, driving without insurance and passing on double yellow lane (two counts).

• DUI, refusal – James S. Vaughan, 24, 4320 36th Ave., Apt. F-5. Vaughan is also charged with driving with a suspended license.

• Domestic violence – Prince Ratcliff, 29, 1308 Will Wright Road.



Fire Runs



The Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire Departments reported the following fire runs for May 29-31.



• Grass fire – Highway 19 North (Suqualena)

• Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA), with injuries – I-20/59 (Toomsuba/Russell)

• Brush fire – KOA Campground Road (Toomsuba)

• Accident, with injuries – T.M. Jones Road (Clarkdale)

• Accident, with injuries – Highway 11 & 80 (Russell)

• Emergency Medical Service (EMS) — Headstart Road (Northeast)

• Structure fire – King Road (Bailey/Northeast/Sam Dale)



Ambulance Runs



Metro Ambulance made 19 runs from 7 a.m.- 4 p.m. for Saturday.
