In the year ahead, you are likely to be quite progressive in previously traditional areas. As a result, there's a good chance you will develop a number of new interests that could turn out to be exciting endeavors.



SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 22) -- If you're not careful, your powerful desire to acquire a few items that you've been denying yourself might overwhelm your wallet. Go shopping, but keep your purchases to a minimum.



SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23-Dec. 21) -- There will be no hesitation on your part to further your own interests and if it takes asserting yourself with others, so be it. Use these urges to show the world what you're made of.



CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) -- Be conscious of any tendencies you have for satisfying what you want to the point of engaging in self-defeating acts. It's OK to go after what you desire, but do so only in unobtrusive ways.



AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) -- You can effectively achieve your goals by working in a cooperative manner with others. However, the trick may be satisfying your aims in conjunction with others.



PISCES (Feb. 20-March 20) -- Because you're not apt to be tolerant of others at this time, you need to find a project that is solely your own, which requires only your individual initiative and effort.



ARIES (March 21-April 19) -- If there is something in particular that you want from another, speak up when talking to this individual. Holding back won't accomplish anything -- except more delay and anticipation.



TAURUS (April 20-May 20) -- When pursuing an objective, persistency is one of your more admirable traits. Follow your natural inclination, because it could be the primary reason for your success.



GEMINI (May 21-June 20) -- Don't hold back in expressing your natural interest in people. Chances are you'll meet someone who'll be lots of fun and could turn out to be a very good friend.



CANCER (June 21-July 22) -- Look for activities that will satisfy your sense of accomplishment, such as building something you've always wanted, or completing projects that you've been putting off for too long.



LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) -- Above everything else, this is a day where you are likely to demand to be yourself, regardless of what others want from you. It is not a time for self-denial or postponing something you want to do.



VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) -- As energies stir within you, they might activate some unconscious desires that you've been denying yourself. Quit fighting them, and do what will satisfy your inner being.
