Meridian police are searching for three black male suspects involved in a morning armed robbery at a local business.
According to Capt. James Sharpe, at 10:37 a.m. dispatchers received a call about an armed robbery from associates at CitiTrends, a fashion clothing store located at 1730 North Frontage Road.
"Two associates from the store were walking to one of the associate's car to take deposits to the bank, when a witness at a nearby business noticed a black SUV turning into the parking lot (of CitiTrends)," said Sharpe.
Two to three suspects got out of the SUV and approached the associate's vehicle. One suspect got into the back of the vehicle and displayed a firearm.
"The suspect put the gun to one of the associate's head and asked for the money," Sharpe said. "The suspect then grabbed the bank bag and the associate's purse."
