— Rogers honored as emerging leader

Fred Rogers, vice president/chief resource officer and facilities manager with Rush Health Systems, was recognized as the Region Four, Emerging Regional Leader Award recipient at an American Society for Healthcare Engineering conference and technical exhibition. The award is presented to one ASHE member from each of ASHE’s ten geographic regions.
Rogers is actively involved with his local ASHE chapter helping to enhance the field of healthcare facilities management.
Rogers has worked with Rush for 13 years.
Rush names new managers

Rush Foundation Hospital has announced the following new managers:
Cindy Massey, R.N., B.S.N., has been named the Manager of the Rush Hyperbaric/Woundcare Center. Massey brings 13 years of nursing experience to Rush, with five of those years in management.
Derek Lasher, R.N., B.S.N., C.C.R.N., has been appointed the position of nurse manager, cardiac recovery unit, intensive care unit/critical care unit for Rush Foundation Hospital. Lasher joined Rush Foundation Hospital in April of 2003.
Janice Hayes, R.N. has accepted the position of nurse manager, 4 North, Orthopedics for Rush Foundation Hospital. Hayes brings many years of nursing expertise to her new position.
