— Dr. Dungan elected to board of directors of Citizens Holding Company

Dr. Vincent Craig Dungan has recently been elected to the board of directors of Citizens Holding Company, parent company of The Citizens Bank. Dungan is a native of Philadelphia, a 1985 graduate of Millsaps College with a B.S. in Chemistry, and a 1990 graduate of the University Of Mississippi School Of Medicine. He and his family reside in Meridian where he is self-employed with Meridian Gastroenterology, PLLC. He has been affiliated with Rush Health Systems since 1993. Dr. Dungan also serves on the Board of Directors of Rush Medical Group and The Meridian Surgery Center.

Therrell honored

Central Mississippi Residential Center (CMRC) in Newton recently honored Jimmie D. Therrell by hosting a retirement reception for the Chunky native. Numerous co-workers and friends gathered to bid him farewell and offer their best wishes. Debbie Ferguson, CMRC facility director, presented Therrell with a plaque commemorating his years of dedication and services to CMRC and the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. Therrell began his tenure with CMRC in 2002 and held positions in the Security and Crisis Intervention Center departments of the facility.
