Holden, McMullen

MERIDIAN —     Nick and Stephanie Holden of Porterville announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren, to Blake McMullen, son of Marty McMullen and Kellie Coker of Meridian.

    The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at 6 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church.

    Miss Holden is the granddaughter of Roy and Ilona Davis of Shreveport, La. and the late Huey Cooper, Marvin and Dianne Cooper of Meridian and Bubby and Gretchen Holden of Covington, La.

    The bride-elect is a highest honors graduate of the Meridian Community College Cosmetology Program and the Meridian Christian Home Educators.

    Miss Holden is employed by Silver Leaf Manor.

    Mr. McMullen is the grandson of Sandra Rawson of Meridian and the late Joe Rawson, and Hack and Janell McMullen of Meridian.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian Community College and Southeast Lauderdale High School.

    While attending MCC, he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

    Mr. McMullen is employed by Toomsuba Baptist Church and Chick-Fil-A.

    A reception will be held at Grand Oak Bluegrass Gospel Hall.
