Martin, Monsour

MERIDIAN — Mrs. Kathleen Martin of Rochester, N.Y. announces the engagement of her daughter, Margaret (Maggie) Rose, to Jared Michael Monsour, son of     Fred and Gracie Monsour of Meridian.

    The wedding will be Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 5 p.m., at Cathedral Assembly of God in Meridian.

    Miss Martin is the granddaughter of The Honorable (Ret.) Dominick and Rose Marie Viscardi of Ticonderoga and Hague, N.Y.

    The bride-elect is a graduate of Fordham University, where she received a bachelor of arts degree in communications and history. She is also a graduate of Brighton High School.

    While attending Fordham University, she was a newscaster and reporter for WFUV 90.7 FM Public Radio.

    Miss Martin is the Morning Edition host for Alabama Public Radio of the University of Alabama.

    Mr. Monsour is the grandson of Fred and Winifred of Meridian, and Van A. Duncan Sr. of Jackson and the late Mary King Catoe.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in real estate and mortgage appraisal financing. He is also a graduate of Meridian High School.

    While attending MSU, he was a member of CREDO – The Council of Real Estate and Development Organization.    

    Mr. Monsour is employed by Wells Fargo.

    A reception will be held at Meridian Little Theatre.
