Kemp, Moore

MERIDIAN — Dr. and Mrs. Roger Williams Kemp of Montgomery, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Margaret Harris Kemp, to Zachary Neil Moore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Roger Moore Jr. of Meridian.

    The wedding will be Saturday, June 15, 2013, at First United Methodist Church in Montgomery.

    Miss Kemp is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Monroe Harris Jr. and the late Dr. William Monroe Harris Jr. of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Franklin Lee Shearin of Montgomery, Ala., and the late Mr. Richard Ridgely Kemp of Greenville, S.C.

    The bride-elect received a bachelor of arts degree in early childhood special education from the University of Alabama. She received a master of arts degree in early childhood special education from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She is also a graduate of The Montgomery Academy.

    While attending U of A, she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.

    Miss Kemp is currently employed as a special education teacher at the Burkett Preschool Center in Birmingham.

    Mr. Moore is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Vincent Peter Corbett Jr. or North Hampton, the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold William Sawyer of Meridian and the late Mr. Neil Roger Moore Sr. of Meridian.

    The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Mississippi. He is also a graduate of Lamar School.

    While attending Ole Miss, he played varsity football and was rush chairman of Sigma Chi fraternity.

    Mr. Moore is currently employed as an energy analyst and account executive with Southern LED Solutions, a Division of Mitchell Companies of Meridian.
