Berrey, Martin

MERIDIAN —     Mr. and Mrs. Lucien B. Berrey Jr. of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Nicole, to Charles C. Martin IV, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Martin III, of Meridian.

    The wedding will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at 5 p.m., beachside at The Phoenix West in Orange Beach, Ala.

    Miss Berrey is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lucien B. Berrey of Horton, Ala. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Mitchell of Anniston, Ala.

    The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, where she received a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is also a graduate of West Lauderdale High School.

    While attending USM, she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority.

    Miss Berrey is currently employed at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson as a registered nurse.

    Mr. Martin is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Martin Jr. of Gulfport and Mrs. Elizabeth Kearley of Butler, Ala.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, where he received a bachelor of science degree in microbiology and a minor in chemistry. He is also a graduate of West Lauderdale High School.

    While attending USM, he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, Southern Style, Honors College, and Presidential Scholars.

    Mr. Martin is currently a medical student at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
