Stevens, Blount

MERIDIAN —     Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Stevens of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Brooke, to Jody Lee Blount, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blount of Union.

    The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at 5:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Union.

    Miss Stevens is the granddaughter of Bobby and Pat Addy of Decatur and Mrs. Martha Stevens and the late Mr. Leonard Stevens of Union.

    The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Meridian Community College, where she received an associate’s degree in nursing. She is also a 2008 graduate of East Central Community College and a 2006 graduate of Newton County High School.

    While attending ECCC, she was a member of the Lady Warriors softball team.

    Miss Stevens is currently employed by Central Mississippi Residential Center (CMRC) in Newton.

    Mr. Blount is the grandson of the late Clarence and Viola Blount of Decatur and the late Billie and Hazel Heflin of Union.

    The bridegroom-elect is a 2007 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, where he received a bachelor of science degree. He is also a 2003 graduate of Union High School.

    While attending USM, he was a member of The Eagles baseball team.

    Mr. Blount is currently employed by Farm Bureau Insurance.

    A reception will be held at the Decatur Country Club.

    Family and friends are invited to attend.
