Schuerman, Bennett

MERIDIAN —     Mr. John William Schuerman and Mrs. Kim Schuerman Smith of Memphis, Tenn., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Nicole, to John Jennings Bennett, son  of Dr. and Mrs. Wesley Stewart Bennett of Bailey.

    The couple is planning a Saturday, March 23, 2013, wedding in Memphis.     

    Miss Schuerman is the granddaughter of Mrs. Julia Lassiter of Collierville, Tenn., and the late Mr. Larry Bennett and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Stout Schuerman of Memphis.  

    The bride-elect received degrees in American studies and public relations from the University of Alabama. After college, she attended Mississippi College School of Law. She is a graduate of Collierville High School.

    Miss Schuerman currently practices law with her family's firm, Schuerman Smith & Associates, in Memphis.

    Mr. Bennett is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Louis Jennings Owens of Woodville and the late Dr. and Mrs. John Jackson Bennett Jr., of Natchez.

    The bridegroom-elect received a degree in psychology from Birmingham-Southern College. He is a graduate of Lamar School.

    Mr. Bennett is currently a third-year student at Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, where he expects to receive his Juris Doctorate degree in the spring.
