Hobson, Cole

MERIDIAN —

    Mr. Willie L. Hobson Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. David L. Cole announce the engagement of their daughter and son, Shundral Hobson and Joseph Cole. Miss Hobson is also the daughter of the late Mrs. Bettye J. Hobson.

    The wedding will be Saturday, June 7, 2014, at The Old Capitol Inn in Jackson with a reception to follow.

    Miss Hobson is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. S.T. Hobson of Brandon, the late Mr. Simmie Johnson of Brandon and the late Mrs. Mary Pendleton Johnson of Wesson.

    The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of the University of Mississippi with bachelor degrees in English and political science. In 2008, she obtained her doctor of jurisprudence from Mississippi College School of Law. She is a 2001 graduate of Callaway High School in Jackson

    Miss Hobson is currently employed as an assistant district attorney in the District Attorney’s Office for the Second Judicial District in Gulfport.

    Mr. Cole is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Aikens of Meridian and Mrs. Oradell Cole of Kapolei, Hawaii, and the late Mr. Frank Fikes and the late Mr. Calvin Cole Sr., both of Meridian.

    The bridegroom-elect obtained a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University in 2006. In 2012, Mr. Cole received a master of business administration from William Carey University. He is a 2001 graduate of Meridian High School.

    Mr. Cole is currently employed as an electrical engineering supervisor with Mississippi Power Company.

    They will make their home in Gulfport.
