Johnson, Stokes

MERIDIAN —     Burl and Denise Johnson of Union announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Elizabeth, to Casey Austin Stokes, son of Ricky Stokes and Lisa Stokes of Philadelphia.

    The wedding will be Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 6 p.m., at the Union United Methodist Church.

    Miss Johnson is the granddaughter of the late James and Lillian Horton of Conehatta, the late Stewart and Bobby Harrell of Sebastopol, and the late Burl T. Johnson Jr. of Philadelphia.

    The bride-elect received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Mississippi University for Women. She is also an honors graduate of East Central Community College and Union High School.

    Miss Johnson is employed by University of Mississippi Medical Center as a registered nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit of Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children.

    Mr. Stokes is the grandson of Dorothy Stovall and the late Newell Stovall, and the late Gilbert and Nita Stokes, all of Philadelphia.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Neshoba Central High School. He will graduate from Mississippi State University in May, with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering and a minor in business.

    Mr. Stokes is employed by the The Dow Chemical Company in Baton Rogue, La., as a process engineer.

    Following the ceremony, a reception will be held at the home of Bo and Miranda Welch.

    Friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception
